Undated correspondences from members of the Johnson Family. The materials included are letters, a newspaper cutting, a list of songs, a recipe, as well as a business card. Some of the letters are from Billie Johnson, Della Johnson, but some are also unnamed.

Abstract Folder one contains a collection of essays, poems, and other writings from the Johnson Institute from the years 1867 through 1882. While majority of the materials in this collection are students' work, there are a few pieces that appear to be from a teacher. Such as a farewell speech and a list of students names (and nicknames). There are also some pieces that appear to be from a teacher (or teachers) as they are a farewell speech, a list of names (with accompanying nicknames), and a retirement speech. There is a paper by M.B. Locett, a notable person in Southwestern University history.

A collection of postcards, photographs, and a mounting book from the twentieth century. The materials are from the Chapman family, who are related to the Barcus family. Some of the postcards have correspondence on them, but many are blank. The majority of the photos have writing on the back added at a later date.
